Dear Dr. {{ $doctorName }},

Subject: Ophthalmologists' Perspectives on the Use of Lipid-Based Artificial Tears in Dry Eye Disease (DED)

Dry eye disease (DED) affects hundreds of millions of people throughout the world and is one of the most frequent causes of patient visits to eye care practitioners. The prevalence of DED, with and without symptoms, ranged from 5 to 50%, DED prevalence based on signs alone was generally higher and more variable, reaching up to 75% in some populations. It is a symptomatic disease, characterized by a vicious cycle of tear film instability and hyperosmolarity. This leads to increased ocular surface inflammation, damage and neurosensory abnormalities.

DED is a prevalent condition that significantly impacts patients' quality of life. While aqueous-based artificial tears have been effective for many, there is a growing need for lipid-based formulations that can better address the lipid layer deficiencies in the tear film. Our new product aims to fill this gap by offering a formulation that not only hydrates but also stabilizes the tear film, providing longer-lasting relief.

We invite you to participate in this survey and share relevant information about the diagnosis and management of dry eyes in real world practice in India.
